The federal documents show a years worth of conversations between the two men and FBI informants. The informant says Jordan possessed an AK-47, a bullet proof vest, swords and other weapons - some of which were seized from his apartment.
Jordan's brother said he never heard Akba say anything about terrorism.
"He's a good dude, I'm 19. I've known him for 19 years and he never talked about bringing any harm to the U.S. Never talked about blowing up buildings or anything," Jordan's brother said.
Both Jordan and Brown have been arrested for conspiracy to kill persons outside of the U.S.
Brown was picked up at RDU International where the FBI says he had a passport and tickets to Turkey.
A Raleigh Police spokesman confirmed the raid Thursday and said Raleigh Police officers were at the scene.
