Cougars move up in national poll

COLUMBUS. Ga. -

The Columbus State baseball team made its second straight appearance in the national polls on Monday, and moved up in the process.

The Cougars are now no. 19 in the country, according to the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll, after debuting at no. 25 a week ago. They also made their first appearance in the College Baseball Lineup poll, coming in at 25.

CSU capped a perfect 4-0 week with a three-game sweep of PBC rival Francis Marion. Greg Appleton’s team has now won five straight and 21 of their last 24.

The Cougars will now face no. 3/4 West Florida on Wednesday.
