POLK COUNTY, FL (WFLA) - Lakeland Police detectives have identified the man who was found dead in a ditch on Prospect Street early Monday morning as 22-year-old Demetrice Stacy.

A spokesman for LPD says Stacy's body was found by sanitation workers around 8 a.m. at 1100 Prospect Street.

Police say the autopsy shows that the Stacy was shot multiple times . 
 
LPD detectives are asking for anyone with information on this shooting to call them at 863-534-8950 or Crime Stoppers at 800-226-TIPS.
