Malzahn pleased with first scrimmage

Posted: Updated:
AUBURN, Ala. - Gus Malzahn addressed the media for the first time following Saturday's scrimmage on Tuesday morning.

Overall, the second-year coach was pleased with what he saw. He said the Tigers rotated three groups, which was "hard on quarterbacks," but he said Rhett Lashlee was pleased with Auburn's signal-callers.

Malzahn said the coaches learned a lot about the younger players and newcomers in their first scrimmage situation.

Auburn's next scrimmage is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, April 5.
