Weather Radio Programming: SAME Codes

COLUMBUS, Ga. - If you're programming a new NOAA weather radio or want to make sure your's is functioning correctly, here are the SAME codes you will need to program the radio for your county.

SAME codes, or Specific Area Message Encoding, tells your radio you only want to hear broadcast alerts for a particular area. Most weather radios allow you to program several SAME codes so you can monitor you and surrounding areas.

You can also get severe weather alerts sent your phone by downloading the "WRBL Radar" app. Just search "WRBL" in the app store.
