Snakes blasted in President's Cup opener

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Columbus Cottonmouths ran into a buzz saw in Pensacola on Thursday night, dropping game one of the President's Cup finals, 9-1.

Pensacola scored six goals on Snakes starter Andrew Loewen, who was pulled for Shannon Szabados with 3:05 remaining in the second period.

Will Aide scored the lone goal for the Cottonmouths in the second period. The series shifts to the Snake Pit, where Columbus faces a win-or-go-home game Saturday night at 7:30 ET.
