Opelika Mayor announces Pharmative expanding

Opelika Mayor Gary Fuller announced Tuesday that Pharmative will be investing additional capitol into the manufacturing facility in Opelika to accomadate their growing demand. Pharmative is one of the nation's largest manufactures of high quality vitamins, minerals and other dietary supplements, according to the city.

The company plans to invest an additioal 21.6 million and hire 54 associates over the next three years. Pharmative has been operating the Opelika facility since January 2013. Pharmative hasinvested approximately $89 million in the Opelika facility and they currently have 245 associates.

"We have been very pleased with our decision to locate the eastern manufacturing facility in Opelika. As our business continues to grow, we look forward to bring additonal jobs and oppertunites to our Opelika facility," said Mark Walsh, Cheif Operating Officer for Pharmative.
