RALEIGH, N.C. -

N.C. State finally gave ace pitcher Carlos Rodon run support in their 5-1 win over Boston College Friday.

The Wolfpack started a 15-game homestand by welcoming the Eagles to Raleigh.

Rodon got his first win since March 8 going eight innings with seven strikeouts. Rodon now has 398 career strikeouts.

N.C. State sits at 21-15 on the season and 7-12 in conference play.

The Pack and the Eagles play Saturday for game two of the three game series at 6:30 p.m.
