Opelika man Tevin Stinson, 20, has been arrested in connection with $25,000 of stolen items, according to a news release by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.

Lee and Troup County Sheriff’s Investigators searched Stinson’s home on Bull Durham Street in Opelika and found multiple firearms, flat screen televisions, gaming systems, compound bows with arrows, jewelry and other electronic devices. The majority of the property was determined to have been reported stolen during multiple burglaries in Alabama and Georgia. Stinson is currently being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on a $22,000 bond.

Joseph Kelly, 20, of Chambers County and Craig Stinson, 21, of Auburn have also been linked to the rash of burglaries. Kelly has been charged by the Troup County Sheriff’s Office and is being held in their jail on a $40,000 bond. Stinson has been charged by the Auburn Police Department and is being held in the Lee County Detention Facility without bond for other burglaries. Authorities say they’ve been able to confirm that the three individuals are responsible for about twenty residential burglaries, but are believed to be responsible for many more.

These cases are still under investigation and additional arrests are possible. If you have information about this case or any other case, you’re asked to call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at 1-334-749-5651 or Lee County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-555-7847.
