Cougars shine in NCAA tennis tourney

COLUMBUS, GA - Columbus State’s men’s tennis team is moving on in the NCAA tournament.

They took town Lander 5-4 in a tough contest on Saturday.

Marco Almorin led the way in singles with a 6-2, 6-2 win.

The Columbus State women's team also played Saturday morning. They easily took down the Erskine College flying fleet. Paola Cigui was crucial in the win. She won her singles match 6-2, 6-1.

 She also teamed up with Camilla Tobar to win a doubles match 8-1.

The Lady Cougars will play Georgia College Monday with a chance to go the sweet 16 on the line.
