Harris County, Hardaway fall in game threes

Posted: Updated:
HAMILTON, Ga. - The Harris County Tigers and Hardaway Hawks both dropped decisive game threes in their GHSA AAAAA baseball second round series.

Harris County fell to Starr's Mill, 10-2, though trailed just 3-2 most of the game, and 4-2 going into the fifth.

The game was marred by a postgame shoving match between fans of the opposing schools. No injuries were reported and a sheriff's deputy said no charges would be filed.

In Fayetteville, Ga., Hardaway fell to second-in-the-state Whitewater, 2-1. Hardaway tied it in the top of the sixth, but the Wildcats added the second in the bottom. The Hawks had the tying run on second base in the top of the seventh, but could not score him.
