New Bern unveils anti-littering campaign

Posted: Updated:
NEW BERN, N.C. -
The city of New Bern wants people to clean up their mess by unveiling a new anti-littering campaign.

It's an extension of governor McCrory's "Litter Free N.C." initiative.

"It's a great program where people can volunteer to adopt a street within the city and try to help our environment and educate people about the impacts of litter in our municipalities," said Mark Stephens, interim city manager.

If you decide to adopt a street, your name will be posted on a sign underneath the title "A litter free N.C. community."
