GREENEVILLE, TN (WJHL) - Det. David Crum with the Greeneville Police Department said the body found near the Greeneville Commons shopping center Monday afternoon, has been identified.

According to Crum, a man was found face down in Holley Creek near the Greeneville Commons shopping center, was Robert Luther Young, 33.

Crum said Young did not have identification on his person, but was identified by his clothing. A K-Mart receipt found at the scene indicated he had also purchased an item on June 5 around 8:30 p.m.

The Greeneville Police Department reportedly considered him a homeless man and had been arrested for incidents such as disorderly conduct and public intoxication.

Crum said "there was no decomposition of the body" and estimated that Young had only been in the creek for a couple of days.
