Hirschman springs to lead after second round of Southeastern Amateur

COLUMBUS, Ga. - Collierville, Tenn. native Grant Hirschman took over sole possession of first place after a second-round 66 in the Southeastern Amateur.

Hirschman is at -7, one shot better than a trio of golfers tied for second. LaGrange's Charlie Martin is one of those tied; he shot 68 on Thursday. Also tied for second is first-round leader Shad Tuten after a second-round 67.

Former Brookstone Cougar and current Georgia Bulldog Parker Derby is tied for eighth at -3 after shooting a 70 in the second round.

Columbus State Cougar Cates Culpepper shot a +1 72 Thursday, dropping him to -2 for the tournament and tied for 15th.
