Hirschman wins Southeastern Amateur in playoff

Posted: Updated:
COLUMBUS, GA - Two players have gone back and forth all week at the Southeastern Amateur. It made sense that they would need extra golf in the final round to determine a champion.

Grant Hirschman and Shad Tuten battled it out in a two hole playoff. Hirschman shot a birdie on the final playoff hole to take home the trophy.

The trio of David Cooke, John Jonas, and Cody Proveaux all missed the playoff by one stroke.

Defending champion Seth Reeves comes in sixth place at seven under par.

The highest placing local player is parker derby. He finished at minus three.

Cates Culpepper is 31st at plus three.

David James finished at four over par in a tie for 32nd.

And Jared Bettcher from Auburn tied in 35th at plus five.
