Lions fall to Venom in a thriller

COLUMBUS, GA - The Columbus Lions lost a nail-biter to the Nashville Venom on Saturday. Nashville won 60-56.

With the win, the Venom clinch the division title. 

Columbus trailed early in the game, but came back on the arm Luke Halpin. 

The loss broke the Lions' three game winning streak.

It was the last home game of the season for Columbus.

    Two tractor-trailers collided Friday morning in Phenix City.It happened on US-431 near Chattahoochee Valley Community College.Officials say a tractor-trailer carrying recycled cans flipped over- after it couldn't stop at a red light. The semi then slammed into a car and a logging truck. Crews cleaned up the cans that spilled onto the highway as traffic backed up for miles. Nothing spilled from the logging truck. 3 people were sent to the hospital--but no one was seriously injured.
