Gangs in Greenville: How do we fix it?

GREENVILLE, N.C. - The shooting death of Jamar Clark was an eye opener for many. Despite public outcry---police maintain that Clark was a validated gang member. Chief Hassan Aden says Clark met at least 3 of 12 requirements to attain the title.

“You don’t accidently end up a validated gang member. It’s actually quite difficult to become one.” Aden said.

This isn’t' the first gang-related shooting the city has seen and community members are asking themselves, how do we fix it.

9 On Your Side got the stakeholders together and had a candid talk about the issues.
