Posted: Updated:

A Columbus woman has been arrested following an incident where she hit another man with a car on purpose, according to a police report.

The incident occurred on 24th Street at around 10:00 p.m. on Friday. Chamencea Johnson, 20, is accused of hitting the victim with a 2004 White Ford Crown Victoria. The victim was injured and taken to the Midtown Medical Center by ambulance, according to the report. His condition is unknown at this time.

Johnson also struck another car in the process, causing more than $500 worth of damage, said the report.

The report says the assault was a result of family violence, but did not indicate the relationship between the man and woman.

Johnson is being charged with Aggravated Assault and Criminal Damage to Property. She is being held in the Muscogee County Jail.
