Valley man arrested for West Point murder

WEST POINT, Ga. -

A Valley man has been arrested following a Saturday night murder in West Point. LaTrell DeShonta Harper, 23, was arrested for murder and other charges following the death of Willis Bulger.

Bulger was shot and killed late Saturday night at the West Point Spirits and Wine, located on 3rd Avenue in West Point, police say. The shooting stemmed from a fight Bulger had with Harper. Police say Harper shot Bulger and then fled the scene.

Harper is also facing charges a weapon charge and criminal street gang activity.
