OPELIKA, Ala. -

Six cars in the Bonita nad Lakeshore Avenue areas of Opelika were broken into between Friday and Saturday, Capt. Shane Healey of the Opelika Police Department announced Monday morning.

A pistol, wallets, GPS unit and work tools were among the items stolen from the different cars, according to Healey. Police say there are no suspects in the  case, which remains under investigation.

Earlier this month, Auburn police released a surveillance image of a "person of interest" in a case related to numerous car break-ins across Lee County.
