Man wanted after walking out before Auburn court appearance

AUBURN, Ala. -

Jacques Crawford is a wanted man after simply walking out before an Auburn court appearance Tuesday.

Auburn police were in the Beauregard area Tuesday afternoon looking for Crawford after a bench warrant was issued for his arrest.

Crawford had been arrested on a misdemeanor theft charge and showed up to court this morning - but simply left before he made his first appearance, the Auburn police department tells WRBL News 3.

Police say Crawford is not a danger to the public and they are no longer actively searching for him.
