RALEIGH, N.C. -

Police have charged a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing Monday night in Raleigh.

Michael Ray Evans, 61, is charged with murder in the death of 30-year-old Jermaine Johnson.

Johnson was found stabbed to death around 8:15 p.m. Monday in the 1300 block of Kent Road in Raleigh. He was declared dead at the scene.

Police said Evans lived at the home where the stabbing occurred. He is being held in the Wake County Detention Center.

The incident is the second fatal stabbing to occur in Raleigh in three days.
