COLUMBUS, Ga. -

St. Anne Catholic Church Ministry has crafted 1,400 rosaries that will be distributed in Zimbabwe.

Coordinator Frances Reitz presented the rosaries to St. Francis Orthopaedic Institute's Dr. Domenic Scalamogna, Nurse Brooke Aitchison, and Dr. George McCluskey Thursday. The medical team will distribute the rosaries during an upcoming 3-week trip to Zimbabwe. The medical team will be providing resources, training and education.

The rosaries were handcrafted by the 18 members of the Joyful Rosary Makers, a ministry of St. Anne Catholic Church. The group, which is dedicated to promoting the devotion of Our Lady through making mission rosaries, formed in 2012.
