Cleveland, Ohio (PRWEB) July 14, 2014

The Center for Health Affairs and its workforce initiative, NEONI, invited members to the NEONI Summer Soiree to kick off summer with good friends and delicious food. The soiree was held on The Center for Health Affairs newly remodeled rooftop deck from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on June 24.

During this event, members recognized and said goodbye to the following long-term NEONI members, who have recently received opportunities outside of Northeast Ohio: Laura Dzurec, RN, PhD, PMHCNS-BC, former dean of the College of Nursing and professor of Nursing at Kent State University and Christine Wynd, PhD, RN, CNAA, former dean and strawbridge professor of nursing, The Breen School of Nursing - Ursuline College.

We truly enjoy showing NEONI supporters how much they are appreciated each year at the Annual Summer Soiree. We value their continued support and are happy to have them here, said Pam Waite, MSN, RN-BC, MHSA, director of healthcare workforce and NEONI operations, The Center for Health Affairs/NEONI.

As the leading advocate for Northeast Ohio hospitals, The Center for Health Affairs provides members with vital services and resources aimed at enhancing the regions healthcare community. The Center delivers on this goal by focusing its efforts on areas that benefit from a regional approach: Healthcare Workforce; Emergency Preparedness; Public Policy & Advocacy; Finance & Reimbursement; and Community Initiatives. With a rich history as the Northeast Ohio hospital association, dating back to 1916, The Center serves as the collective voice of hospitals and the source for Northeast Ohio hospital and healthcare information. As leaders, we continuously scan the periphery, looking for opportunities to enhance the regions workforce, better prepare our hospitals for an emergency, and increase the regions wage index. And because of our business affiliation with CHAMPS Healthcare, we have the resources to provide a broad level of professional services to our members. The Center, located in downtown Cleveland, is proud to advocate on behalf of 38 acute-care hospitals and two long-term acute-care hospitals in six counties. For more, visit chanet.org.
