ACHC to present at the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) 25th Annual Conference and Tradeshow on Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
Cary, NC (PRWEB) July 14, 2014
ACHC Clinical Compliance Educator, Lisa Meadows, will be presenting at the Home Care Association of Florida (HCAF) 25th Annual Conference and Tradeshow on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. HCAF is a premier trade association for the home care sector in Florida, and is widely recognized throughout the southern region of the United States. The annual conference will be held at Buena Vista Palace Resort and Spa, in Orlando, FL, and will host the largest gathering of home health agency managers within the state of Florida.
The presentation titled The New Home Health Sanctions will cover significant aspects of staff adherence to the Medicare Conditions of Participation (CoPs) and compliance for home health providers. Agencies need to make their audit practices more efficient to ensure staff is providing care in accordance with the Medicare CoPs. The new sanctions are effective mid-2014, and if agencies are not in compliance with CoPs, monetary sanctions will be imposed. The 60-minute session will help administrators, faculty, and clinical personnel learn how to avoid these deficiencies in order to avoid sanctions. It will also examine the recent years top 10 Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) cited deficiencies in order to help providers avoid common mistakes during the survey process. The presentation will be held from 1:30 PM- 2:20 PM in the Crown room, and is open to all conference attendees.
