Columbus police are investigating at least 7 break-ins at Columbus businesses early Sunday morning.

Various businesses were hit in an hour and a half's time frame across the northern Columbus area, police reports show. Sneakers, Best Buy, Hungry Howie’s, West Georgia Verizon, Sally's Beauty Salon, Shoe Show and New China Restaurant all reported damage and items stolen after individuals allegedly broke into the stores.

Four of the stores are in the same shopping center, right next to the Gateway Walmart.

“We haven't had a burglary in 10 years and definitely wasn't expecting it,” said Skip Darden, the owner of Sneakers on Veterans Parkway.

Darden’s surveillance cameras picked up the three individuals who had broken into his store. One individual broke the window with a baseball bat, then the others went inside and stole two pairs of shoes, a few pairs of socks and the cash register.

Police say they're still trying to figure out if all the break-ins are connected. If you recognize any of the individuals in the video, you're asked to call Columbus Police at 706-653-3400.
