COLUMBUS, Ga. -

The body of a 62-year-old man has been recovered from railroad tracks in Columbus after being discovered along the right-of-way Tuesday morning, Muscogee County Chief Deputy Coroner Freeman Worley confirmed to WRBL News 3.

The body of Benjamin "Bennie" Clay was found near16th Street and 5th Avenue, which is located near Midtown Medical Center and the Linwood Cemetery.

It was not immediately clear why the man was on the tracks. The cause of death does not appear suspicious.
