2 suspects wanted in Fayetteville shooting, robbery

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -

Police are searching for two suspect connected to a robbery and shooting Saturday in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville police officers responded to a shooting in the 800 block of Bedrock Drive around 2:44 a.m. on July 19. When they arrived, officers found 32-year-old Christopher Ramon Alexander, who had been shot in front of the residence.

Alexander was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Police said he was shot while being robbed by two suspects.

Detectives identified Kevin Maurice Bruton, 29, of Fayetteville, as a suspect in Alexander's shooting. He is charged with attempted first-degree murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy.

Police have not identified the second suspect.
