DURHAM, N.C. -

Durham police said four people were hurt when two vehicles crashed Thursday night on Holloway Street.

The Durham Fire Department was dispatched to a vehicle crash around 9:11 p.m. Thursday in the 2700 block of Holloway Street near the Durham city-county line. The crash happened in front of an EMS Station and damaged a power pole.

When Durham Police arrived on the scene, they found multiple people trapped. One of the vehicles was also on fire at the time.

Some of the injured were taken to the hospital, but their conditions were not immediately available. Two people had to be extricated out of a Ford Focus. The driver of the second car, a Mercedes, also had to be extricated. There was also a passenger in the Mercedes who refused further care.

The conditions of the other three people involved in the crash are unknown.
