Auburn election voter registration ends Friday

Anyone looking to vote in Auburn's August 26 election that is not already registered has until Friday to file forms. Anyone looking to vote in Auburn's August 26 election that is not already registered has until Friday to file forms.
AUBURN, Ala. -

Friday is the deadline for new voters who still need to register for Auburn's upcoming municipal election.

Voter registration forms can be obtained at Auburn City Hall, located at 144 Tichenor Avenue; the County Board of Registrars office, located at 215 South 9th Street in Opelika; or online at http://www.alabamavotes.gov. To downloadable the online form. click "voters," then click "register to vote," then click "get a voter registration application".

Voter registration forms should be returned to the Lee County Board of Registrars Office at PO Box 1530, Opelika, Alabama, 36803-1530. Registration forms returned to City Hall will be forwarded to the Lee County Board of Registrars. Voter registration forms that are returned to the Board of Registrars by mail must be postmarked by the registration deadline of August 15th.

The election will be held August 26.
