Commentary from WRBL First Alert Chief Meteorologist Bob Jeswald

Our ice bucket challenge was quite a success Wednesday on WRBL News 3, alongside with our radio partners at PMB Broadcasting. Kissin' 99.3's Bear O'Brian, Dave Arwood, Mike Kelly, Damon Free, Lori Lee - and even Harris County Sheriff Mike Jolley - all took the challenge. All helped to raise awareness for ALS and Coach Jeremy Williams, the Columbus native and former Greenville High School football coach will is publicly battling ALS.

Our community support raised $601.00 in a half hour during our live newscast. More is needed and you can do your part October 4th. If you would like to help out Jeremy, then click to learn more about the Run For Jeremy.  Money form the raise goes towards ALS research at Emory Hospital in Atlanta.

Thanks to Buck Ice for the chilling experience and Acura of Columbus for hosting the event. And a special thanks to the many folks who came out to participate Wednesday.
