WEATHER AWARE DAY: Heavy rain, strong wind with storms

We are seeing the set-up and history of these storms on Tuesday night producing some local flash flooding or maybe even flood advisories from areas seeing repeated storms over the same areas.

Let me preface that this will be with the times with the two rounds I’m seeing from 2am-5am, then 10 am-2pm…

Adding to some saturated grounds (Trees toppling over with wind) and poor drainage, experiencing some standing water and local flash flooding are typical with this set-up.  One to two inches of rainfall will easily be seen throughout the day and some isolated areas across the I-85 corridor, a bit higher.

These storms that are building will have heavy rainfall associated with them, strong gusty winds and this would be along the line of significant or under severe limits. Wins could easily gust up to 45mph, with these storms.

BOTTOM LINE: A few storms may increase to severe limits with these storms and this is why we are in a marginal risk for storms, with local FLASH FLOODING and DAMAGING WIND…WE ARE WEATHER AWARE FOR WEDNESDAY.
