Andrew Clarke

Andrew joined the First Alert Weather Team in December 2020. He is a native of Ellerslie, GA, located in nearby Harris County.

Andrew is originally from the Midwest, being born in Columbus, OH. He lived there for 2 years before moving to the South at the age of 3, first to the Atlanta suburb of Marietta and then to Harris County.

Andrew’s fascination with weather began during the 2011 Super Outbreak, where he was fearful of the many destructive storms that impacted the southeastern US. This fear, however, turned into a fascination and an interest coupled with his knowledge of geography.

Andrew graduated from Harris County High School in May 2017, and is currently a senior at Mississippi State University, where he is studying meteorology and is an active member of the East MS Chapter of the AMS/NWA there.

Andrew is expected to graduate from Mississippi State in May 2021 with a B.S. in Professional Meteorology with an emphasis in Broadcast Meteorology. Andrew is also a former intern of the First Alert Weather Team, having interned during the summer of 2019.

Outside of his accomplishments in school and in weather, Andrew is also an Eagle Scout from BSA Troop 40 in Pine Mountain, GA and a black belt in tae-kwon-do.

When he is not forecasting the weather, you can find Andrew watching sports, cheering on his Mississippi State Bulldogs, Cincinnati Bengals, and Detroit Tigers, as well as doing outdoor activities such as hiking, baseball, and basketball with his friends at various recreational facilities across the region. Andrew is excited to be getting his first start in broadcast meteorology in his hometown and is ready to give you the most accurate and up-to-date forecast possible!
