Brya joined the WRBL NEWS 3 News team in October of 2018 as an anchor/reporter after serving as a digital content producer and specialist for WBRC FOX 6 NEWS in Birmingham, Alabama.
A graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Brya earned a Bachelor of Arts degrees in Journalism. During her tenure there, Brya became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha, served as president of the Broadcast Education Association, Treasurer of the UAB chapter of the Society of Professional Journalist, member of the campus television station, Blazer TV.
Brya is a proud Blazer and is excited to mentor future journalists of her alma mater. Before graduating from college, Brya worked as a traffic personality for Summit Media in Birmingham.
There, she recorded news and traffic segments for multiple stations. It was there when Brya realized she wanted to transition to broadcast television.
Brya has always been a ball of entertaining energy. She loves skating, spending time with her large family and traveling.
