Mikhaela Singleton

Mikhaela joined the WRBL News 3 team in March 2016.

Currently, Mikhaela anchors the weekend newscasts Saturday at 7 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET and Sunday 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. ET. She hits the streets as a daytime and nighttime reporter on the weekdays.

Mikhaela started at WRBL as a digital news intern while studying at the University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication. Graduation day saw her return to the News 3 newsroom as the Digital Content Producer. Mikhaela presented daily, on-air segments during News 3 This Morning to update viewers on the trending local stories of the day, as well as inviting community leaders, event organizers and charity groups to live interviews on the News 3 Midday Community Watch.

Mikhaela transitioned into reporting in October 2017 and then to anchoring in October 2018. She has tackled major local stories such as President Trump’s visit to Lee County, voter fraud investigations, murder trials, and severe weather. While she takes great pride in providing the Chattahoochee Valley with the most up-to-the-minute, hard-hitting news content, she enjoys immersing herself in the local community as well reporting on animal rescue, charity events, and fun features on the unsung heroes right in your backyard.

Mikhaela earned the 2018 Responsible Coverage Award from the Georgia Commission on Family Violence and currently sits as a Georgia Association of Broadcasters 2019 Gabby Award finalist!

When Mikhaela isn’t at News 3, you’ll find her trying new things within the local Columbus food culture, taking her dog to the park, or sitting down with a good book. Reach out anytime to share your stories or just say “Hello!”
