Mubashir Zaidi is a seasoned journalist who joined WRBL as a digital producer in March 2023.
After graduating from the University of Karachi, he worked with a couple of newspapers and then as a news producer with the top TV station in Pakistan, Geo News for 15 years.
Pakistan’s largest-selling newspaper Jang published Zaidi’s 100-word short stories daily for five years.
He is the author of 10 Urdu fiction books, three of which were written for elementary school students. His books have been translated into Persian and Hindi and published in Iran and India.
Zaidi moved to the United States in 2018 and worked with Voice of America in Washington D.C. for three years.
Zaidi has also taught at Bahria University in Pakistan and at Whitman Middle School in Northern Virginia.
A lifelong student, Zaidi is doing his second Master’s in Strategic Communications at the University of Maryland and enrolled at the New York University for the next course.
