Shaquira Speaks

Shaquira Speaks started at WRBL News 3 in May of 2018 as the nightside digital content producer. In October of the same year, she was promoted to nightside reporter.

She graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2018 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Communications. She is currently going to school for her Master’s in Criminal Justice at Liberty University.

While working with WRBL, she had a major impact in providing up-to-date information on a variety of stories such as the double murder case of a father and son in October 2018, an update on the killing of two Americus police officers and President Trump’s visit to Alabama after the devastating tornadoes in March 2019.

She also has a passion for sports and helps the sports department with cool features such as collegiate commitments, including Tate Johnson’s commitment to Auburn.

You can follow Shaquira on Twitter or on Facebook, or email her at sspeaks@wrbl.com.

She is always looking for great stories to share! If you have a story idea or would like to just say “Hi”, feel free to reach out to Shaquira.
