Tyler Redmond

Tyler Redmond always knew he wanted to become a Sports Broadcaster. He attended Hardaway High School, and graduated with an International Baccalaureate certificate. During high school, interned at Davis Broadcasting, the local ESPN Radio affiliate. He was also a nominee for the Ledger-Enquirer Page One Award for Journalism. 

Tyler’s love for sports has local ties. He played baseball at Northern Little League, in Columbus. He also was a 4-year letterman, and team captain for Hardaway High School’s wrestling team. 

After high school, Tyler attended Columbus State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications in 2022. Tyler also began his television career in college. In the summer of 2017, he was hired at WLTZ as a production assistant. He worked his way up to director for newscasts in his three years there. He was also a director for an upstart YouTube Channel, ‘The Late Kick with Josh Pate’. That show has become one of the most-watched college football shows in the country. He then joined the WTVM staff at the start of his senior year where he directed newscasts and was also an occasional on-air talent.

While in college, Tyler developed his own YouTube Channel in his free time. ‘Braves On Deck with Tyler Redmond’ was started to build a home for all of Tyler’s interviews with current and former Atlanta Braves. Over the years it has evolved into a collection of interviews, podcasts, and informational videos covering developments throughout the Major League Baseball season. Tyler’s love for the Braves runs deep. He has attended games since he was six years old. He was at four postseason games in 2021. When the Braves went on to win the World Series. Tyler followed the entire journey, and there was no one happier to see the Braves win their first championship in 25 years. 

Tyler is very excited to join the WRBL staff and cover all of the local teams of the Chattahoochee Valley!
