2 arrested in connection to murder of a Eufaula man

LEE COUNTY, Ala. – Two individuals have been arrested in the murder of a Eufaula man.

20-year-old Tristan Glover of Phenix City and 20-year-old Willie Granger of Eufaula was arrested Wednesday, November 16. Police say Kenneth Williamson was found by deputies responding to call of a shooting at a residence on Lee Road 114 just south of Opelika.

Williamson was pronounced deceased at the scene having suffered from apparent gunshot wounds.

On November 17, 2016, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, the Eufaula Police Department, the Barbour County Sheriff’s Office, and the Abbeville Police Department combined their efforts in conducting a search for Glover and Granger.

At approximately 2:00 a.m. central time on the November 17, Glover was arrested during a traffic stop on Highway 431 south in the city of Abbeville. Later that day at approximately 11:00 a.m. central time Granger was arrested at an apartment located in the Chattahoochee Housing complex in the city of Eufaula. They were both transported back to Opelika where they are each being held in the Lee County Detention Facility on a $150,000.00 dollar bond.

The combined agency effort also resulted in the recovery of a firearm in Henry County believed to have been used in the murder.
