Our guest for Business On Your Side is Cheryl Johnson, President and CEO of West Central Georgia Cancer Coalition. WCGCC is a non profit organization in our community that does a tremendous job helping cancer patients. She is here to tell us about their upcoming 9th annual 5K, "Paint The Town Pink" in honor of October being breast cancer awareness month.
It will be located at Woodruff Park on Friday, October 19 at 6 pm. The 5K will go through Phenix City, so two states will be uniting for a great cause as Cheryl Johnson describes. However, the official race starts at 7 pm.
All of the proceeds will remain in our community to help cancer patients. Our Chief Meteorologist, Bob Jeswald, will be present at the event . We all hope to see you as well there to support a great cause!
The cost to register for the race is $35, but the cost will go up after October 7. When you register, you will receive a t-shirt and a pink roll item.
