NEW YORK (WCMH) – The Pokemon craze is sweeping the nation, and it seems at least one mom felt a little left out, so she made her own version.
The video has now been viewed nearly 15 million times since it was posted Wednesday.
‘Chardonnay Go’ was created by Dena Blizzard, a comedian and creator of the off-broadway show ‘One Funny Mother’
“Did you know there’s an app for moms called ‘Chardonnay Go’ where you can actually find glasses of chardonnay all over your neighborhood? And it’s really simple. There’s actually a glass really close to my house right now. Let’s go find it, let’s ‘Chardonnay Go!’” Blizzard says in the video.
Blizzard proceeds to follow her phone around the neighborhood, grabbing glasses of wine from under bushes, a dog walker’s pants and even inside a neighbor’s house.
Within a day, it went viral. “It’s been a little crazy since we launched Chardonnay Go yesterday,” said Blizzard in a follow-up live video on Thursday.
As the video reached 10 million views, Dena and her team from ‘One Funny Mother’ celebrated with a bottle of chardonnay.
Don’t go looking through your phone’s app store for ‘Chardonnay Go,’ it’s not a real app, just one mom’s wine-fueled fantasy.
