COLUMBUS, Ga. – A fund has been set up for Jaylin “Jay” Tolbert, the Columbus teen who went missing on June 16 while swimming with his 10-year-old brother in the ocean at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Both boys got into distress while they were swimming. Life Guards were able to save the younger boy by tossing him a buoy, but they were unable to locate Jay. Efforts are continuing to recover the teen.
Jay is the son of Salacia “Lacey” Ford and a student at Rothschild Middle School.
All funds raised will be used for a suitable remembrance service, once he is found, and for counseling services for the family.
The account is held by CB&T Bank in the name of Jaylin Tolbert. Contributions may be made at any CB&T Branch.
