COLUMBUS, Ga — NFL star running back and summer camp coach at his alma mater Isaiah Crowell and his family say they will be at a local church on Benning Drive Tuesday morning to help feed 100 families.

Crowell says he is inspired to help South Columbus United Methodist Church by his love for Columbus.

“I love my church and I love my hometown. This is another way for my family and I to show our love for Columbus,” Crowell says.

Crowell donated 100 turkeys to South Columbus UMC Thanksgiving event this year.

The giveaway will start at 10 a.m. for the families chosen by Reverend Reggie Williams and his South Columbus UMC congregation.

Crowell is a Cleveland Browns star running back and former G.W. Carver High School All-American. Crowell returned to Carver High this summer to host a free youth summer football camp.
