With the warmer temperatures in the valley, snakes are making their presence known. They are not only in the woods, but they can be around your home or inside children’s toys that may be in your yard.
Should you encounter one, treat them all like they are venomous that way you don’t have an issue.
“This time of year straight into spring keep your eyes peeled when you are out and about you don’t necessary out hiking or out at the lake anywhere right know all the snakes are coming out of hibernation they are ready to feed and breed they are very active this time of year more than anytime of the year. a lot of common sense if you are out at pine mountain or out at the lake just be aware where you are walking,” says Jonathan Lee.
If you get bit by a snake, seek medical attention immediately. If you can, take a picture and give it to the hospital so they will know which anti venom to use.
