‘Women Build’ chapter meets to build in the community

Community News

PHENIX CITY, Ala. – A group of women in Phenix City met Thursday looking to help jump-start construction projects in the area.

It’s part of Habitat for Humanity’s women build, which is their program for women who want to learn construction skills and build homes and communities. The program was started to bring together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. Members of the Phenix City Board of Relators were on hand Thursday to help build a home for a family.

“We are very pro on home ownership. This is a program that helps the public get into homes they may not be able to purchase otherwise,” says Margaret Moss.

No experience is necessary to join Habitat for Humanity.
