“Go Red for Women” brings awareness to the cardiovascular health of women by providing education, resources, and hope to eliminate heart disease. Heart disease is an ongoing health issue with women affecting nearly 500,000 American women, yearly. An estimated 44 million women in the U.S. are affected by cardiovascular diseases. 90% of women have one or more risk factors for heart disease or stroke.

Created by the American Heart Association, Go Red for Women empowers women to take control of their health by conducting the proper research and giving all access to tools and materials needed to create strategies and treatments for women facing any direct risk. So far, research has proven that women facing any cardiovascular risk GO RED by exercising regularly, abiding by a heart-healthy diet, visiting a health professional, and have testing done on a regular basis, and advocating and influencing others to openly discuss heart health.
