COLUMBUS, Ga. — Two teens are in jail after the CPD Special Victims Unit arrested them Wednesday for cruelty to children charges.
Columbus police say 19-year-old Shayla Melton and 19-year-old Taylor Frazier were arrested for Cruelty to Children in the First Degree.
Investigators tell News 3 the two arrested are not involved with the death of a baby that occurred over the weekend.
Both are currently in the Muscogee County Jail.
Both will have their Recorder’s Court hearing Saturday, July 30 at 9 a.m.
