3 arrested, CPD looking for 4th suspect in Cooper Cove apartment invasion


COLUMBUS, Ga. – Two females and one male have been arrested in connection to a home invasion Wednesday morning.

The home invasion occurred in the 4000 block of Milgen Road at the Cooper Cove Apartments.

When responding officers arrived on scene they discovered 23-year-old Ryan Hoover suffering from multiple gunshot wounds with one to the head. Hoover was transported to Midtown Medical Center where he’s currently listed in critical condition.

28-year-old Phillip Futrell, 23-year-old Jessica Elliott, and 24-year-old Ashley Wright were arrested and all three were charged with aggravated assault and home invasion. Warrants were obtained for a fourth suspect, 23-year-old Dewayne Searcy.

Columbus Police is asking anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Dewayne Search to contact Corporal Joby Duncan at 706-225-4263, the Fugitive Unit or the Robbery/Assault unit at 706-653-3400.
