COLUMBUS, GA (WRBL) – Carlos Williams has honored our latest recipient of the Kinetic Credit Union Golden Apple Award, Viola Gardner, a 4th grade teacher at Reese Road Leadership Academy.

Gardner is a 30-year teaching veteran who will be retiring at the end of this school year.  She is a graduate of Columbus College, which is now Columbus State University.  She was nominated by AJ Campbell.  Campbell stated that Gardner is a loyal and dedicated teacher who demstrates exceptional skills.

Gardner was honored to received the award.  She stated “I was just saying that I’m going to enjoy myself retiring, but I’m going to miss the kids at the same time because I still love working with the children.”
