More heated debate is expected on Alabama’s abortion bill today.
All eyes will be on Alabama lawmakers as they begin another round of debate on the state’s abortion ban bill.
The bill bans abortions at any stage of the pregnancy— and would make it a felony for doctors to preform one.
Last Thursday, May 10, things got heated in the Senate when an amendment was striped that would have made abortions legal in the case of rape or incest.
We asked the governor about the bill that could be headed to her desk.
“We will see how far it gets, said Governor Kay Ivey. “The abortion issue is a serious one and I hope it gets fully debated.”
